River Bend - 2009

River Bend Residence is located at the base of the Cascade mountains bordering the Snoqualmie River. Set on five acres of old growth timber, the home was designed to minimize it's impact on the land why providing privacy from the road and an open connection to nature. Mimicking fallen timbers, the home is broken into three primary functions, Public (living, dining, entertaining), Utilitarian (garage, mechanical, shop), and Private (bedrooms, study). Each primary function is graphically represented by its own material, joining at the circulation space (entry/stair).
